Inspired by the loss of a friend and mentor, Black Notes is a pulsing collaboration between JG Stockton and the “one-man rawchestra” Sieben who adds hypnotic tension to the 120 bpm tune with his dark violin textures The resulting tune is a gliding, propulsive deep-house track with a nod to Balearic dance floors The video to go with Black Notes takes inspiration from the seagulls you hear squawking in the track and takes the viewer on an aerial journey through the peaks of Sheffield Drone footage by Dave Ruder Edited by JG Stockton
